As I recall, the only reason fpmath.h was kept internal to libc rather than being placed in ${arch}/include was to prevent applications from using it. In any case, your simple solution works just fine, modulo the -0 handling. If anyone has a good idea about what to do with fpmath.h, the implementation can be changed later.
