Look for 'domain searching' at www.isc.org, the caretakers of bind. Though the documents there are relevant, I think our resolv is different from the one in the bind distribution. Have you tried putting the FQDN for localhost in the hosts file? Or maybe you should put in A records in your SOAs for localhost. localhost A 127.0.0.1 Regards, Mike Hancock
