--part1_39.2079f0cc.29695216_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit hI, My name is Kevin and I am trying to install freebsd 4.1 (bought at Frys on cd) and my system has a Mitsumi MODEL CRMC-FX120T cd-rom on IDE , as slave on cable with the hard drive as a master. I have clobbered windows, I presume, as I went thru install (partially installed) when I ran into fact that generic driver does not recognize this model Mitsumi drive. I am guessing that there is a driver on the Install CD-rom disk which of course my kernal cannot read. hmm..... (catch 22). Will the mcd0a driver on the install disk (walnut creek pkg) talk to my 12x Mitsumi? And how can I introduce it or proper driver of your suggestion to my presently faulty kernel? thanks Kevin email addr: enrak99@aol.com with apprec.
