I am trying to install FreeBSD on my computer, but my computer is using =
two "ATA / ATAPI Compatible Disk Controllers" which UserConfig sees as =
Device: ATA0 and ATA1, IRQ: 14 and 15, Port: 0X1f0 and 0X170. As far as =
I can tell ATA0 is controlling my harddrive and ATA1 is controlling my =
CD-ROM which is a "Matsushita CR-563-B". But when I go into my computers =
BIOS it says that Their is only one device being controlled (which I am =
assuming is my harddrive) and it is the master on controller 0. The =
slave on that controller says "none" along with the master and slave on =
controller 1. Well, what all this is leading up to is the fact that I =
can boot up the install disk, go threw the configuration, but when I get =
to were it asks me were I would like to install from, and I say CD-ROM, =
it says "no CD-ROM found". Oh, and I am booting the install program =
which is on CD from two floppies: one Kernel and one MFS Root, if that =
helps. Please Help. I would be happy to act as a ginnie pig to fix this =
problem if you would like to do some E-Mail tag to get this problem =
solved. Thanks.
