If you are unsure about the nescessity of a command, then I Oops, I stand corrected, I got my flags mixed up, just for those I confused: r flag - Allows a directory to be listed x flag - allows a user to access files in the directory but only if the particular file has appropriate rwx flags set Sorry if I confused anyone.
