Obviously the person who wrote that assumed that anyone installing via
network would
have a domain name of some sort, however without having done an install that
way I
guess it wouldn't matter as long as the two machines could see each other on
the network.
It sounds like its worked anyway so I'll try that myself someday. I would
have thought the FQDN
was only relevant with an FTP install ..... like from ftp://ftp.freebsd.org,
although it is possible
to have a domain without being online.
