I don't think m m is referring to the cores but the NUMA: The CPUs aren't all equivalent so it's not 'symmetric'. OTOH, it's not the same as (eg) the IBM S/370 CPU+AP systems where the AP couldn't handle interrupts. -- Peter Jeremy
