The following reply was made to PR bin/18566; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Kris Kennaway <kris@FreeBSD.org> To: rsargent@cisco.com Cc: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/18566: make world breaks on gperf Date: Mon, 15 May 2000 14:30:05 -0700 (PDT) On Mon, 15 May 2000 rsargent@cisco.com wrote: > This seems to work: > cd to /usr/src/contrib/gperf > type ./configure > then go back and make world again This is not necessary. You should never have to touch the sources in /usr/src/contrib. Perhaps you have out of date sources or something - please post a more detailed report to the FreeBSD-stable mailing list so we can have a chance to identify the problem and how to fix it. This PR was misfiled also - "ports" is for problems with the FreeBSD ports collection, not problems with "make world".
