It had a flaky touchpad, so I exchanged it, and took a 1700 because I wanted the CD-RW drive and lighter weight - but now I have lots of unsupported hardware (Conexant LANtastic Ethernet/modem, ESS1988 Allegro sound, and, it seems, ACPI - which is unsupported in -stable, I gather). Fortunately I have a 3Com PCMCIA EtherNIC, so I have enough working to make it quite usable with FreeBSD anyway. -- Dr Graham Wheeler E-mail: gram@cequrux.com Director, Research and Development WWW: http://www.cequrux.com CEQURUX Technologies Phone: +27(21)423-6065 Firewalls/VPN Specialists Fax: +27(21)424-3656 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
