Hi all, I did a bit of work a couple of years ago for the Gentoo documentation project. They defined their own syntax based on docbook, and created an entire build-system based on xml. Their syntax is very easy to understand, unlike sgml (although the primer is great, I just started translating a chapter for the dutch handbook for the first time).
