If it's of any interest, NetBSD did add an `include' facility to
config. sys/arch/i386/conf/GENERIC, for example, has
include "arch/i386/conf/std.i386"
at the top, which includes a bunch of standard options that nobody
can live without (EXEC_AOUT, for example).
