I was just trying to drop FBSD4.4 on an old 486 box I have hanging around and ran into a problem installing. It looks like I don't have sufficient memory available. The machine has 8MB on board, but the install shows messages like this after failing: pid 10 (sh), uid 0, ws killed: out of swap space ... The web site reports 5 meg space for install is sufficient. This isn't a big deal, more of a 'I wonder if I can project', but now I'm curious. What is the real minimum memory requirement? [Please cc me directly via mail on any answer.
