Anyway, after a reboot I pinged it so that the entry appears, and after 6 hours it's still there: $ uptime 23:08 up 6:35, 6 users, load averages: 0,00 0,01 0,00 $ arp -n 10.71.1.80 ? (10.71.1.80) at 00:50:fc:79:da:85 on rl0 permanent [ethernet] And no, I don't normally have this entry. (All 6 users is me.)
