Subject: Restarting vino remotely?

Good morning... for some reason, vino is not currently running on my home
PC (I suspect a portmanager update killed it and it did not restart). Xorg
and Gnome are still running however (I have an X desktop going on the local
machine at home). I can still ssh in just fine, but I've never solved the
mystery on how to restart vino-session remotely without it kicking errors.
It always seems to want to be launched from a terminal session on the local
PC console. Is there a trick to this?

To be clear: I'm not trying to forward X sessions over ssh. I forward VNC
over ssh using vino as the VNC server. This works better for my needs.

FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE
Gnome 2.12.2
Vino 2.12.0
Xorg 6.8.2

Any suggestions?
