Warner, I have a PCMCIA 802.11b card that is somewhat generic. It
is labled as a "Hawking 11M Wireless Ethernet PC card". It can do
128-bit WEP and works fine under Win2K against both a Hawking WAP
and an SMC WAP.
The OUI portion of the MAC address (00-02-DD) indicates it was
manufactured by:
Bromax Communications, Ltd.
No. 20 Kuang Fu Road,
Hsin Chu Industrial Park, Hu Kou,
Hsin Chu 303 Taiwan, R.O.C.
Attached is the output of a "pccardc dumpcis". Insert and eject
events are logged by my 4.3-RELEASE-p12 system, but nothing further
interesting happens (although the card lights its "power" and "link
established" LEDs.
Is there any chance we've got a driver that will speak to this
thing?
