Hi, I installed Samba 3.0a13_1 and read through most of the important man pages and manuals. Most manuals say that runnig testparm is a way to say if all the configurations are correct. However, it gives the following output: incorrect size for /usr/local/etc/upcase.dat - got 0 expected 131072 incorrect size for /usr/local/etc/lowcase.dat - got 0 expected 131072 creating lame upcase table creating lame lowcase table incorrect size for /usr/local/etc/valid.dat - got 0 expected 65536 creating default valid table incorrect size for /usr/local/etc/valid.dat - got 0 expected 65536 creating default valid table I get this output with most of the other smb tools as well. Surely something is amiss. Another minor problem I have, is that when I do a "smbclient -L hostname", it says error connecting to [ip address]:445 (Connection refused) and then it prompts me for a password. I am not sure which user's password I need to enter here. Please give advice if you can. :-) Thanx Jan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
