Hi, I'd like to boot my Alpha 164LX running FreeBSD 5.1 from floppy instead of SCSI drive. Is this possible? The SCSI drive in my Alpha is VERY LOUD and other scsi drives i have tried are loud too. So, I was thinking of getting an IDE card and hooking some IDE drives to it. I did not want to use the internal IDE connection of the Alpha 164LX because I heard it is very slow. Thanks for any help.
