Sorry, I jumped the gun.  Those numbers are magic numbers in my mind
and almost always equate to a duplex mismatch.  Dig through the
archives on -net and -stable and look for some discussion regarding
samba performance, I wonder if you can tweak a TCP setting or two.
What version are you running?  Any rate shapping (stranger things have
happened)?  -sc
