Unfortunately, most monitor manuals do not specify enough information.
Heck, most manuals these days like to skimp on the _important_ technical
details. :-(

I typically use

        HorizSync 31.5-48.5

which works on my AGP 8MB ATI Rage LT Pro-powered laptop. I believe this
is one of the default settings presented in xf86config.
