All, I was wondering if it was possible to install FreeBSD on an old 486 that I have laying around my house. The intent is to have it running as an NAT box and as a firewall. The specs are: - Cyrex 486 DX2/66MhZ - 8 Megs RAM - RealTec clone network card - 8 Gigs hard drive space (upgraded from 400 Meg) - 4x CDROM drive - Cirrus Logic VGA card - External 56K modem I was wondering if there was anything special I had to do to get the install running. It hangs after selecting the packages to install. Upgrading the RAM isn't an option right now, unfortunatly. Thanks in advance, Edward Guldemond ------------------------------------------------------ Hyperon Network Services Cheap server space Located in West Palm Beach, FL Email for rates ------------------------------------------------------ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
