It uses the tunnel drivers, and all you do is call it with the IP:port on the host machine you wish to connect to. Each person's machine(s) would need to be setup with a specific range of IP addresses on their end (I setup 2 zones 192.168.1.* and 192.168.4.* which then routed to each other).
