I keep getting the error message that the new backup tape I am using is
Write Protected when trying to tar to the tape. The tape is set to rec
and the permissions for the device seem to be correct. When I do an ls
-l of the device /dev/nrsa0 it shows:
crw-rw---- 4 root operator 14, 1 Jul 5 11:25 /dev/nrsa0

Is there anything else that could be causing this? I am able to do mt
rewind and mt status without any error messages.
