Thanks. I wanted to verify if the hw i2c code was used (which is
untested and I'm almost sure it doesn't work), but that's not the case.

Can you set sysctl hw.dri.debug=3D7, start "Xorg" (just the server, no
need for a full session and this will reduce the noise) and run "env
DISPLAY=3D:0 xrandr" from a remote computer, please? Then, send me your
dmesg/Xorg.log/output of xrandr.
