The most common one is VCD (VideoCD). Note that this format has its
limits; it is often said to be approximately as good as VHS tape.
Some standalone DVD players also supports SVCD, but this means that you
will have to use two or more CD's per movie.
Finally, a select few players supports mini-DVD (DVD format from CD
media), and some even supports DivX.
