actually it's /var/run/xemacs.

there was considerable discussion about this in the ports list some
months ago and the consensus seemed to be that a /var/run/xemacs was
the most appropriate solution. That's why I did it that way.

I personally am dispassionate about this and if there's a _new_ consensus
that it should be done in another way then I'm more than willing to go
along with the majority. /var/tmp/xemacs seems resonable to me.
