What I'm trying to say is that the ARCO can be installed in a system that is already configured with an operating system since it is transparent and does not change the drive geometry (it only supports RAID 1). The 3ware, on the other hand, must be installed before you install the OS. If the ARCO had 3ware's TwinStore technology (splitting a read request into two parallel reads on different drives), I'd be using it right now.
