The following reply was made to PR kern/5328; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Brian Backland <brian@jenera.com> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@freebsd.org, brian@jenera.com Cc: Subject: Re: kern/5328: Cyrix P166+ on ASUS P/I-P55TVP4 with 64 Meg RAM is unstable Date: Thu, 18 Dec 1997 03:38:40 -0500 I have installed FreeBSD 2.2.2 and the system appears to be stable. I have recompiled the kernel, without errors, to match my hardware config. I have installed XFreeBSD and it works well, except the distribution for 2.2.2 is broken, so I retrieved the binaries from ftp.xfree86.org and installed those. I guess the next step is to begin installing and compiling the various programs that I need on this box. I will report back with any positive and negative findings. Regards Brian brian@jenera.com
