my bsd bosx has a hostname from comcast but i am about to host a domain and run dns....so what i want to know is how to enter an alias in the hosts file so that my computer will have 2 names instead of the silly old comcast one. everyone understand? did i ask the question with enough detail? I just wanna know the syntax for "hostname aliasing" not sure if that is what it is called. in the meantime i will be looking though Greg's book and the handbook. Regards G.
