Hello, I have an Ati Rage 128 Pro TF installed with FreeBsd 4.6.2-Release. When FreeBsd has only been in `Textmode' the shutdown with poweroff works. Once Xfree86 had been activated the PC doesn't poweroff when shut down. Now I've also tried a Mandrake from a Linux magazine. With Mandrake poweroff is no problem. When I compared the logs, I realized that with FreeBsd the statement `(II) Open APM successful' is missing. And there are two `(**) R128(0): DPMS enabled'. With Mandrake there is something with `i2c' which is skipped in FreeBsd. How can I run the Rage 128 on FreeBsd with working poweroff?
