https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D221772 Bug ID: 221772 Summary: vt(4) lacks (some?) semi-graphics, causing visible regression to the curses apps Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: sobomax@FreeBSD.org CC: ed@FreeBSD.org Flags: mfc-stable9-, mfc-stable10- Created attachment 185723 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D185723&action= =3Dedit Current look with vt(4) + xterm With the vt(4) only supporting xterm emulation, we are observing some regressions of the console-based ncurses UI that we have to provision the system for the last 12 years. As such I am curious if there is a way to get= the missing elements back with some terminfo / ncurses magic and if not is there any plans to fix those at some point? With the overall direction of obsolet= ing syscons(4) in favour of vt(4), it's really sad something that has been flawlessly worked for the last two decades regressing just like that. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
