According to Daniel Hauer: > root in it to run an app as root, (cvsup for example) I get an "unable to > open display localhost:0" error message. What have I missed? I haven't tried sudo recently to say but my own equivalent, named Calife[1], doesn't have this problem. It will ask you for your password then fork a shell with the new uid (generally root). ----- [1] <http://mutt.frmug.org/calife/> -- Ollivier ROBERT -=- FreeBSD: The Power to Serve! -=- roberto@keltia.freenix.fr FreeBSD keltia.freenix.fr 3.0-CURRENT #67: Tue Dec 29 20:24:02 CET 1998 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
