After lots of pain, I finally got X up on my DS10, and also my PC164SX, both using old Matrox cards. In my case, the trick was turning off WITNESS in the kernel config file. At this point, X seems quite stable. If I could get Mozilla to run without crashing I'd be a happy man. Good luck! Andrew
