This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_01CC_01C17367.186B5E80 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Greetings, I am using FBSD V4.4 Release, with the bundled version of Sendmail. It seems to be working fine, however, I continually get the error = message on the console: jcontinuum sendmail: gethostbyaddr(192.168.14.1) failed: 1 I believe this error is pertaining to sendmail not being able to get the = hostname of my system. I thought I set it in the right place in the = sendmail.cf file: # my official domain name # ... define this only if sendmail cannot automatically determine your = domain Dj$w.jcontinuum.ca However, even after a reboot, it still gives me the same error. Can = somebody tell me where to set this properly? Regards, Justin P. Michel J Continuum ------=_NextPart_000_01CC_01C17367.186B5E80 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2600.0" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Greetings,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I am using FBSD V4.4 Release, with the = bundled=20 version of Sendmail.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>It seems to be working fine, however, I = continually=20 get the error message on the console:</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>jcontinuum sendmail: = gethostbyaddr(192.168.14.1)=20 failed: 1</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I believe this error is pertaining to = sendmail not=20 being able to get the hostname of my system.
