Hey, I've been having trouble making boot floppies. In this case, I was making floppies for Slackware, but the problem is dd won't copy all the records even though there's enough room. FreeBSD 4.5-RELEASE i386 su-2.05a# dd if=color.gz of=/dev/fd0 dd: /dev/fd0: Invalid argument 2605+1 records in 2605+0 records out 1333760 bytes transferred in 41.431344 secs (32192 bytes/sec) Linux 2.4.18 i686 [emmanuel@gimpy rootdsks]$ dd if=color.gz of=/dev/fd0 2605+1 records in 2605+1 records out I've tried using the 1.44M floppy device, different floppies, nothing. I believe the image is 1.3M Any idea what's wrong? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
