Greetings,

Can someone briefly explain/describe the history architechture of these two
shells:

/bin/csh

Where is the default (no special changes or new account) history stored?

Where is the history stored once this user su's to root?

/usr/local/bin/bash

Same questions as above, as well as where do you adjust the how "big" your
history gets for regular user and when you are logged in as root.

And one last one question: What is the easiest way to setup an account
already using
csh that wants to use bash? Assuming the bash 2.0 port is install for
example. As well as
it being activated when the user su's to root.

Thank you for your time,

Dan
