Which programs?  At this point I am also against this for the
code-reading + creaping-nonportable-featurism reasons Brian brought up.

Also please realize that there is only a small group of committers that
actively read freebsd-audit.  If you are bringing in new interfaces like
this freebsd-arch is the right list for that.  Discussing the need in
freebsd-audit for merit before posting to freebsd-arch is of course a
useful thing.
