I just use cards, that digitalize video, while the audio data is provided analogously (I connected one card to the left channel of CD-in and the other card to the right channel of CD-in). That works fine. So the driver seems to be nice... The first card is a Hauppauge Model 61204 B1M (Philips PAL I tuner; WinCast/TV).
