Forcing reinstallation through pkg(7). Bootstrapping pkg from pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:13:amd64/quarterly, please wait... Verifying signature with trusted certificate pkg.freebsd.org.2013102301... done Installing pkg-2.4.2... Newer FreeBSD version for package pkg: To ignore this error set IGNORE_OSVERSION=yes - package: 1305000 - running userland: 1303001 Ignore the mismatch and continue? [y/N]: y package pkg is already installed, forced install Extracting pkg-2.4.2: 100% I can also reproduce on latest pkg-2.4.2 though.
