i have never seen references to manpages in device driver's diagnostic
at least in FreeBSD. Most drivers just tell you "not found" and that's
it. And referring the device's manpage seems a bit obvious... if the
line before says "Probing PnP devices" and the one next reports a
problem with "pcm0", what manpage would you look at ?
man found ? man not ? man probing ?
But if people like this approach, i have no objections. I just don't see
a way to put
