Hello, This is just my two cents. However, when we used the 'BB' suite here, it t= urned out to be what I consider shoddy at best. The user interface does not look= all that appealing to start off. I have found that the best resource for this type of activity, is to use Na= gios with their plug-ins. It is a little bit harder to get started with, howeve= r, http://www.nagiosconfig.com makes life a lot easier. This product is just a lot more robust than 'BB', and you could easily ache= ive the mass SMS that you desire with a simple command definition. ---- Joshua Bell - <josh@ oplink.net> On Thu, 01 Jun 2006 18:52:50 +0200 Emre Bastuz <info@emre.de> wrote: > Hi, >=20 > I know that it is possible to configure BigBrother (http://bb4.org) in su= ch a > way. >=20 > BB is basically a software to monitor the availability/reachability of IP > addresses, services, processes, etc.. >=20 > In case of an outage you configure it to send a mail (maybe to tome mail2= sms > gateway?). >=20 > If you take a look at the software description at http://bb4.org/features= .html > there=B4s somethin about SMS at "Notification", so some kind of "native" = SMS > delivery also seems possible. >=20 > Hope this helps. >=20 > Cheers, >=20 > Emre >=20 > Zitat von Odhiambo Washington <wash@wananchi.com>: >=20 > > > > I have a few hundred VIP clients (yes, some are more VIP than others) > > who I'd like to notify, via SMS, whenever we have any network problem > > and also immediately such a > > problem is resolved. > > > > What I'm looking for is some software that I can use to do this, > > within FreeBSD.
