I'm having a similar problem, which I thought was hardware.
I'd like to install 4.5-STABLE as a new install. The
handbook says to d/l snapshots from
ftp://releng4.freebsd.org, but it doesn't allow me to login
using anonymous. Are the STABLE install snapshots still
available?
