Hey there BSD people,
I'm an IT student from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a newbie to FreeBSD/Unix environment. Swear I've havn't typed on any unix prompt before! I've read a lot of positive-side article about your operating system and have tried it on myself. I've downloaded and installed FreeBSD 4.9 stable and installed it on my AMD Athlon 1.2 ghz unit. Installation was a daunting task at first specially embedding my built-in sound card into the kernel and configuring the XFree86 server for my KDE but with enough patience and maximum tolerance, I have now a fully running FreeBSD on my desktop. Anyway, I just wanted you to know how eager I am learning your wonderful software. I have a lot of questions, all of which are rapidly buffering inside "my kernel" which at times I always panic so please include me in your mailing list. -Thanks
