You don't seem to understand the FreeBSD project. It's a volunteer
project. It gets things because the people using it want it to have
those things.

Well, as someone who's been contributing things to BSD since CSRG was
doing distributions, I personally would rather spend time making
FreeBSD better for people who know what they're doing. If doing so
makes it easier for idiots to use, that's nice - but it's certainly
not a design goal.

I DO NOT speak for anyone else contributing to FreeBSD, including
you. If you want it to have something, what you can do that is most
likely to that addes is contribute it yourself. If you don't want to
contribute directly but can contribute funds, hire a contractor to
work on the libh project, or buy hardware that you would like
supported to send to the people developing the drivers. If you can pay
for the developers time as well, it'll help.

If you tell me where I can get the source with a license that allows
redistribution, I'll get it added to the ports tree.
