They all (router, box1, box2) are on the same

I think it, too, but if I don't have any access to the default router
the problem gets a bit more complex.
I tried proxy-arp on box1 and started routed but the machines on the
net were not able to ping box2. Traceroute went in the direction of
box1 but not further.
