https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=284789 Charlie Li <vishwin@freebsd.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assignee|portmgr@FreeBSD.org |python@FreeBSD.org CC| |vishwin@freebsd.org Status|New |Open Flags| |maintainer-feedback+ --- Comment #2 from Charlie Li <vishwin@freebsd.org> --- Not sure I'm understanding the motivation without seeing an actual example. USE_PYTHON=pep517 was intentionally designed to not be particularly flexible wrt metadata, particularly name and RECORD/plist (unless purely adding via PLIST{,_FILES}). These are security measures for us given PyPI and other language package systems' propensity for typosquatting and other metadata poisoning regardless of corrective measures they have taken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
