Hi, I got a problem when I install freebsd, u know how to solve it? I try to install FreeBSD 2.2.2 using a boot flopy. I skip the kernel config, but it cannot boot to the install menu. it only display some config infomation about hard drive, cdrom, sio, wd02, .. etc. then it displays panic and the system hangs, like follows: . npx0: INT16 interface apm0: disable, not probed. changing root device to fd0c panic: double fault syncing disk then it hangs, you know what's wrong? my PC was bought in year 96. -Award Modular Bios V4.51PG -pentinum 133 MHZ -generic motherboard: MP071 intel 430 VX ISA/PCI -Western Digital 1.6G : (old one) running win95, freebsd, dos -Western Digital 6.4G (brand new) try to install freebsd 2.2.2, but hangs.!! I try different methods, like install with only one hard drive, it still won't work, is this happen when the old bios cannot regonise a 6.4G hard drive? or is it something else? thanks, henry To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
