HI, Further info on my problem below. I have previously had 2.2-GAMMA running nicely on the 2.2-RELEASE box (before a HD crash killed it...). So, out of curiosity, I found an old 2.2-ALPHA kernel image and booted it. Dtmail now works like a charm. What can be different in the handling of sgid binaries between 2.2-ALPHA and 2.2-RELEASE? It seems to be a permission thing. The mail spool is set: putte:~> ll -d /var/mail drwxrwxr-x 2 bin bin 512 Mar 20 21:21 /var/mail/ The spool is NFS mounted from a 2.1.7 box. Dtmail is: putte:~> ll /usr/dt/bin/dtmail -r-xr-sr-x 1 bin bin 696320 Sep 7 1996 /usr/dt/bin/dtmail* When I try and start dtmail I get a dialog box saying: "Mailer has not been properly installed and cannot be run because the execution group is incorrectly set" Things worked correctly when the machine had 2.1.7 installed. If I su to root and run dtmail it starts OK. Any ideas?
