In a slightly related topic.. What would be cool is a fix for the following REALLY ANNOYING bug. When you are running sysinstall from a running system and you get an error, it says "look in the other vty for the reason of the problem" (or words to that extent) but of course running from an already up system htere IS no other vty.. so it is impossible to find what was wrong. In the case of running on an already up system maybe that stream could be sent to a log file somewhere? I hit this quite often.. in partuicular when instlling a package that has an earlier version already installed.. it just fails and you can't find out why. julian John Baldwin wrote: >jhb 2005-03-02 22:48:13 UTC > > FreeBSD src repository > > Modified files: > usr.sbin/sysinstall install.c > Log: > Automatically switch to ttyv3 where the fixit shell is running when using > the standard console and any fixit mode. > > MFC after: 1 day > > Revision Changes Path > 1.363 +2 -0 src/usr.sbin/sysinstall/install.c > >
