I found that buildworlds are much faster if you move things like /usr/src and /usr/obj onto their own HD/controller from the rest of the system. Since FreeBSD / and Windows c-drive are on the same disk, I just added /boot/boot1 onto c-drive and used ntldr to boot both systems. Other people use FreeBSD's bootmgr to do the same thing.
