It's not } specifically mentioned in the release notes (I'm -stable at about 2.2.7 } and two thirds :) } } I also have the choice of PCI or ISA. Are both supported? } I have the Gold version of the AWE64. It's capable of decent sound. I've heard the other versions are okay too. Unfortunately, the sound drivers for BSD aren't perfect yet. Mine skips and stutters periodically. Doing a `find / -print' while playing a stereo wav file can make it sound pretty bad. (No such problems on win95 on the same machine.) I've heard of others with similar problems. I'm running 3.0-RELEASE on a Pentium 200 MMX w/64Megs. I"ve tried both the native and the OSS (shareware) drivers. Same problems with both. The OSS guys actually provide quick turnaround on email support, but no answers for the stuttering yet. If you're interested in less than 44.1kHz, 16-bit stereo sound you might be satisfied.
